Nehrling poker event Friday in Windermere
The Henry Nehrling Society will host a Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament, Casino Party and Silent Auction this Friday, Aug. 8, at Windermere Town Hall. Proceeds from the charity event will go to the society's Acquisition Fund to preserve the historic Nehrling Palm Cottage Gardens.
The poker tournament and casino party will be provided by Fun Planners Inc. Festivities include wine selections from Tim's Wine Market in Windermere and beer and hors d'oeuvres by MetroWest Catering.
Silent auction prizes include beach vacations, fine-dining gift certificates, a 42-inch plasma HDTV, golf packages, consulting gift certificates, boat tours, landscape package and framed prints.
Limited reservations are available at $75 per person. For more information and reservations, call Theresa Myers at the Nehrling Society at 407-876-4524 and specify "poker tournament" or "casino party." Participants can also register at www.nehrlinggardens.org.
